Source(google.com.pk)C. S. Lewis is one of my favorite writers. I read him as a child and again as an adult. His writings are suited for both the capacity of the imagination of a child and the adult mind. I can remember spending many hours underneath the covers with my trusty flashlight traveling though Narnia and to lands untold. His writing brought me, and many others to the ends of our imaginations. He was able to take simple everyday items and transform them into portals to another world.He is one of the visionary writers that fed my imagination and began my love of words.
Born Clive Staples Lewis in Belfast, Ireland on November 29, 1898, he was raised in a religious family and attended the Church of Ireland. At 15 he turned away from religion and proclaimed himself an atheist at 15. Lewis moved with his family to England and attended Oxford College where he received honors. He then began a thirty year career teaching as a fellow (a group of educated people who work together for the pursuit of learning) at Magdhlen College, Oxford. He also taught as a Professor at Cambridge University.
Eventually he returned to a belief in God and lectured widely on the case for a belief in God. He also wrote books on the subject. He was also a close friend of J.R.R. Tolkien for many years. Later in life he married a fellow writer named Jane Moore who died 4 years after they were married of cancer. Lewis died the day that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated and the same day that Aldous Huxley, who wrote the acclaimed book Brave New World. Media attention was minimal.

He wrote on many subjects, including Medieval History. He was an interesting man and a fabulous writer.
